Beautification Contest
The Trappe 300 Steering Committee is sponsoring a beautification contest open to all Trappe Borough single- and multi-family residences, businesses, churches, and non-profit organizations. This friendly competition encourages the development of beautification projects that enhance the appearance of our community.
Applications will be accepted from businesses, individuals, professional landscapers, garden clubs, and church/civic/non-profit organizations undertaking beautification projects that enhance the appearance of commercial, residential, or non-profit properties in Trappe Borough.
Prizes will be awarded in the categories of Business; Community Space; Non-profit; Residential; Youth; and Mayor’s Choice.
Entry forms may be downloaded here. Completed forms must be submitted by September 1 via email to [email protected] or mail to Historic Trappe, P.O. Box 26686, Trappe, PA 19426. The judges will assess all properties for which an application is submitted between September 2 and 18.
Winners will be announced at Trappe Community Day on September 23 (rain date September 30) and posted on Historic Trappe’s website and Facebook page.
Rules and Regulations:
Property must be located within the boundaries of Trappe Borough.
Property owners or renters may apply.
Judges will rate properties according to:
1) Overall appearance of building(s), fencing, and edging.
2) Overall landscaping including design, plant selection and placement, and condition of landscaping and maintenance.
